Under the flagship of NAGPUR AGRO DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (NADA) NAGPUR WINE CLUB (NWC) have been performing its mission to develop wine culture in Central India since 2011. NWC is perhaps the only wine club of Central India existing with a sizable membership of 202 members.
NWC is one of the most happening club in India with multifaceted activities . Other than providing quarterly wine tasting events. club also organizes annual Wine & Food Festival since 2013. NWC has in house wine academy which provides basic and fundamental wine education to new members. NWC also organizes wine tours to various wine producing regions in India and abroad. NWC strongly believes that wine education should be a primary agenda of every wine club in India.
NWC believes in promoting make in India wines to boost our own wineries economic strength. NWC have conducted over 30 different wine tasting events for reputed Indian wine brands like Grover- Zampa, Sula, Nine Hills, Turning Point, Pause , Four Seasons, Indus, Ambrosia, Fratelli, Chateau D’ori, AD Wines etc. We at NWC provide right platform for a new winery to launch their new wines in the Nagpur market.
On 19th January-2017 NWC shall complete six years of operation and within this period we have hosted three major Wine & Food Festivals in Nagpur. The inaugural festival of 2013 had distinguished guest like Mr. Abhay Kewadkar COO of Four Seasons Wines, Mr. Jagdish Holkar Chairman IGPB New Delhi. Year 2014 witnessed Mr. Rajiv Samant CEO of Sula Vineyards and Mr. Ashwin Deo MD of Turning Point wines. Third edition of our festival was inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Sumedh Singh Mandla CEO of Grover Zampa and Mr. Rajveer Bali Sr. Vice President of Fratelli Vineyards.
Nagpur Wine & Food Festival is now considered as one of the major wine event in India. Number of visitors are increasing every year and during two days around 2500 visitors are expected being a weekend event. This festival not only attracts wine connoisseur from Nagpur city but also visitors from nearby districts and adjoin states of Central India. Nagpur Wine & Food Festival provides perfect stage for the participant wineries to showcase their range of products and develop brand image among wine lovers.
Nagpur city have noticed a substantial growth in consumption of wine ever since the club have become active and many of its members have switched over to drinking wine from hard liquor. With the current force of over 4 million people and new development plans for the city, projects like MIHAN, Metro Rail, Wild Life Tourism and a geographical advantage of being centrally located in India, Nagpur cannot go unnoticed in coming few years as most potential market place for wineries to establish their brands.
